Removal Guide

For all acrylic enhancements I would recommend you come back to me to ensure they are removed without damaging the natural nail, and in just 30 minutes.

If you would like to remove at home, please follow the steps below, and be aware this will take a lot longer than in the salon.

  1. FILE – Use a course file to remove the shine from the nails and break the surface layer.

  2. SOAK – Apply cuticle oil to your cuticles/skin, then soak your nails in acetone, either in a shallow bowl, or in foil wraps.

  3. SCRAPE – Every 10-15 minutes, use an orange wood stick to gently scrape the acrylic off.  always scrape down the nail and do not apply excessive pressure, just a gentle scrape to remove the product.  This step will need to be repeated numerous times.

  4. FINISH – Once all the product is removed, use a 4 sided buffer to gently smooth the nail.  Wash thoroughly, then apply cuticle oil.

After the ‘armour’ of acrylic and soaking in acetone your nails will feel “soft”, however within 24hrs they will feel hydrated again.

Careful removal of acrylic WILL NOT damage your nails.
